Do you have a minimum order quantity for CNC parts?
We accept one-off prototypes and small batches. There may be an economic minimum order value because every job requires engineering review, programming, setup and inspection, but you do not need to order hundreds of pieces.
How do I request a fast CNC machining quote?
Use the online RFQ form or email mark@onepartcnc.com. Include part files when available, material, finish, quantity, important tolerances and destination country. If files are confidential, request an NDA first or submit a written description without an upload.
How long does a CNC quotation take?
Straightforward requests can often be reviewed within one working day. Assemblies, incomplete drawings, unusual materials, tight tolerances or special finishing may require technical questions and supplier checks before an accurate quotation can be issued.
What happens after I approve the quotation?
We confirm the latest files, drawing revision, quantity, material, finish, inspection scope, delivery address and payment. After payment terms are satisfied, the job enters programming and production. Parts are then deburred or finished, inspected, packed and shipped with tracking or freight documents.
Can I order one prototype first and a larger batch later?
Yes. A prototype-first approach can verify dimensions, assembly and function before the batch. After approval, the same controlled revision can be quoted for repeat production. Unit price often falls as setup and programming cost are shared across more parts.
How can I shorten CNC machining lead time?
Provide complete files, use readily available material, identify only truly critical tolerances, avoid unnecessarily small internal radii, choose an available finish and respond quickly to DFM questions. Separating urgent prototypes from the full batch can also accelerate evaluation.
Can an order be changed after production starts?
Contact us immediately. Changes may be possible before material cutting or at an early stage, but completed programming, purchased material, machining and outsourced finishing may create additional cost. A revised file should have a new revision identifier to avoid confusion.
How are small precision parts packaged?
Parts are cleaned as appropriate and protected against contact damage, moisture and corrosion according to material and finish. Small cosmetic or precision pieces can be separated in bags, trays, foam or wrapping. Tell us before quotation if you need individual labeling or retail-ready packaging.
Which delivery methods are available?
Common options include DHL, UPS and FedEx express, your nominated courier, air cargo, rail freight and sea shipping. Express courier is usually best for prototypes and small cartons; air or sea freight may be more economical for heavier production shipments.
How long does express delivery from China usually take?
As a planning estimate after dispatch, express courier often takes about 3–7 working days to major commercial areas. Remote addresses, customs inspection, peak seasons, weather and restricted goods can extend delivery. This estimate is separate from manufacturing lead time and is not a guarantee.
What are typical delivery times to Europe and the United Kingdom?
Express courier commonly reaches major European and UK destinations in roughly 4–8 working days after dispatch. Air cargo may take around 7–14 days including handling, while rail or sea freight can take several weeks. Customs clearance and local delivery vary by country.
What are typical delivery times to the United States and Canada?
Express courier commonly takes about 3–7 working days to major US and Canadian locations after dispatch. Air cargo may require about 7–14 days, while ocean freight may take several weeks. Customs, remote-area service and seasonal capacity can change these estimates.
What are typical delivery times to Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Australia?
Express delivery to major Southeast Asian cities may take about 2–5 working days; major Middle Eastern and Australian destinations often take about 4–8 working days. Remote areas, import formalities and courier capacity can add time.
What are typical delivery times to Central and South America?
Express shipments commonly require about 5–12 working days after dispatch, depending strongly on destination and customs procedures. Import clearance can be less predictable than transit. Confirm available service and estimated total time for the exact postal code before ordering.
Who pays import duty, tax and customs fees?
Responsibility depends on the agreed Incoterm and quotation. For many courier shipments, the buyer pays destination import duty, VAT/GST, brokerage and related charges. Ask us to state the shipping term clearly before payment so landed-cost responsibility is understood.
